A self-assessment is not the right tool in a crisis.

If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health emergency, call 9-1-1. If you are having thoughts of self-harm or suicide, call or text 9-8-8, Canada's Suicide Crisis Helpline, available 24/7. For ongoing concerns, reach out to a primary care provider or a qualified mental health professional.

What they are

Insight, not a diagnosis.

These anonymous screening tools let you compare your responses to those of the general population and other public safety personnel. They can help you notice signs and symptoms associated with common mental health concerns, and consider whether speaking with a health professional might help.

An accurate diagnosis can only be made by a qualified physician or a registered, licensed mental health professional after a complete evaluation. Your responses are not recorded, and no one is monitoring the tools to provide support. You can anonymously email your results to yourself to share with a provider.
